# Redeem a top-up code

In short

Add an Alipay top-up code to your balance and understand error messages.


A top-up code adds balance only after you redeem it on your VirtualSMS account. Buying the code on its own does not change your balance.

## How to redeem

- Sign in to the VirtualSMS account you want to top up.
- Open Top up and choose the Alipay tab.
- Under “Already have a code?”, paste your code and tap Redeem.

When it works, you see the amount added and your new balance. A code credits exactly its face value, with no deposit bonus, and works once.

## If it does not work

- “This code isn’t valid”: copy the whole code, with no spaces.
- “You already added this code”: it was redeemed earlier on the date shown. If you have more than one login, check the other one.
- “Your session expired”: sign in and paste the code again.

If you need help, tell support exactly what the error says. Never share the code itself: a code is worth money to whoever holds it.
