TL;DR
VirtualSMS provides Telegram verification via real Poland mobile numbers (++48 prefix) — physical carrier-issued SIM cards, not VoIP. Poland numbers from regional operators pass Telegram's network-detection checks where Google Voice, TextNow, and MySudo get rejected as disposable. Numbers activate in under 30 seconds. Pricing from $— per activation, paid in USDT, USDC, BTC, LTC, or SOL via NOWPayments. If the Telegram code doesn't arrive within 20 minutes, your balance is refunded automatically. Alternative to hero-sms, 5sim, SMSPool, SMS-Man, OnlineSim for Poland Telegram verification — with real SIMs instead of shared VoIP pools.

Five real reasons people verify Telegram without their personal number
None of these are sketchy. They're the reasons we hear from customers every day.
01
One Telegram account per number — globally
Telegram binds one account to one phone number, worldwide. Want a personal Telegram AND a business/channel-admin Telegram? You need a second number. A virtual number avoids carrying a second SIM or paying for a second mobile plan.
02
Your Telegram number is visible to contacts by default
Anyone who has your phone number saved in their contacts can find your Telegram account — unless you dig into privacy settings. A virtual number keeps your real SIM off everyone's contact graph and reduces spam exposure from leaked databases.
03
Fragment NFT numbers cost $20–$150+ per sign-up
Telegram's own 'anonymous number' marketplace (Fragment) sells NFT-based numbers — $16-20 for the cheapest, $150+ for memorable ones, and they're tied to a TON wallet. Real SIM verification with VirtualSMS runs orders of magnitude cheaper and needs no crypto wallet. Same outcome, lower friction.
04
Telegram Premium is bound to the verified number
Premium follows the account, which follows the number. If you upgraded Premium on a personal number and now want a separate Premium account (business, throwaway, regional content access), you need a new number. Our virtual numbers activate Premium reliably in supported countries.
05
Data-only SIMs and eSIMs can't receive SMS
Modern 5G, eSIM, and travel SIM plans increasingly skip SMS. Your data-only plan won't receive a Telegram code. A virtual number with real inbound SMS closes that gap in under a minute.
Telegram-specific problems and how to fix them
These are the actual failure modes we see on Telegram. They're different from WhatsApp's — each has a specific fix. Don't retry blindly.
"This phone number is banned from Telegram"
Why it happens
A previous user of this specific SIM got their Telegram account banned for spam, and Telegram's ban propagates to the underlying phone number. Affects roughly 0.5% of numbers — not something we can detect upfront.
The fix
Cancel the current number on VirtualSMS (get a full refund). Grab a different country's number. Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan have the lowest ban-carry rate because their SIM fleet rotates faster than slower-moving markets.
Telegram asks for a cloud (2FA) password you don't know
Why it happens
The previous user of this SIM (or an aggregator) set a 2FA cloud password on the Telegram account tied to this number. Even with the SMS code, you can't log in without that password — this is Telegram's recovery protection.
The fix
Cancel the activation for a full refund — this number is effectively unusable without the password. Grab a fresh number from a different country. Our rental pool rotates faster and rarely has leftover passwords.
Account banned within hours of verification
Why it happens
Telegram's anti-spam wave (active since late 2024) aggressively bans new accounts that join many groups/channels fast, send unsolicited DMs, or match known abuse patterns. This has nothing to do with the number type — it's about behavior.
The fix
Warm new Telegram accounts gradually. Day 1: set profile photo + bio, message 1-2 existing contacts. Week 1: join 2-3 relevant groups. Don't mass-DM, don't join 50 channels in an hour, don't promote anything in the first 72 hours. This is a Telegram rule, not a virtual-number rule.
Code arrives as a voice call instead of SMS
Why it happens
Telegram's anti-spam system sometimes routes verification via voice call to numbers it considers 'suspicious' (mostly US and India). Not a VirtualSMS issue — Telegram's call. Our SIMs receive voice in most markets, not all.
The fix
Check your VirtualSMS dashboard — if the number supports voice, the transcript appears there. If not, cancel for a full refund and try a different country, or switch to a rental (rentals receive voice in most markets).
"Enter the code from your Telegram app" — no SMS sent
Why it happens
This number was previously signed up on Telegram and there's an active session on another device. Telegram routes the login code to that existing session instead of as an SMS.
The fix
Wait 2 minutes, then tap 'Send the code via SMS' in the Telegram signup screen. The fallback code will then land in your VirtualSMS inbox. If the original session is accessible to you, approve the new login directly there.
Code arrives but Telegram says it's wrong
Why it happens
Either the code expired (valid 10 minutes), or you requested a resend and typed an earlier code — Telegram invalidates any previous code when a new one is sent.
The fix
Always use the MOST RECENT code in your VirtualSMS inbox. If you requested a resend after not seeing the first SMS, any earlier codes in your inbox are now invalid — only the newest works.
Telegram Premium won't activate on this number
Why it happens
Telegram Premium has stricter country rules than regular verification. Some countries (US, India, much of Tier 3) accept normal sign-ups but block Premium payments originating from that number's region.
The fix
Premium activates reliably on Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Netherlands, UK, and Poland numbers — marked 'Premium-ready' in our country tier above. If Premium is the goal, pick one of those countries up front.

Frequently asked questions about Telegram virtual numbers
Does Telegram detect and ban virtual numbers?
Not systematically — unlike WhatsApp, Telegram doesn't maintain a public blocklist of known virtual number ranges. What Telegram does ban is behavior: mass sign-ups, spam DMs, instant channel-join floods. A real SIM number used for normal registration rarely gets flagged. Pure VoIP numbers (Google Voice, TextNow, TextFree) are blocked — VirtualSMS doesn't use those.
Can I use Telegram Premium with a virtual number?
Yes, in most supported countries. Premium activates reliably on Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Netherlands, UK, and Poland numbers. Some Tier 3 countries (US, India, Vietnam) accept regular sign-ups but block Premium upgrades — if Premium is the goal, pick a Tier 1 or Tier 2 country up front.
Why is Telegram so much cheaper than WhatsApp on VirtualSMS?
Two reasons. First, Telegram's success rate is ~98% vs WhatsApp's ~92% on the same SIMs — each SIM delivers more successful verifications before retirement. Second, Telegram doesn't actively blocklist virtual numbers the way WhatsApp does, so SIM rotation costs are lower. Those savings pass through to pricing.
How long does Telegram verification take end to end?
Under 90 seconds typically. Signup → buy number → Telegram SMS arrives in 10-15 seconds (faster than WhatsApp's 30 seconds) → enter code → optional 2FA step → done. If SMS hasn't arrived after 60 seconds, cancel for a refund and try another country.
What's the cheapest country for a Telegram number?
Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan are consistently our cheapest Telegram markets — Telegram's user density there means our SIMs produce more successful verifications per unit cost, and we pass that through. EU countries (Germany, UK, Netherlands) run higher but offer Premium-ready reliability. Check the live pricing section above for current per-country rates.
Can I run multiple Telegram accounts?
Yes — one account per number globally. Buy one virtual number per account. Telegram itself supports multiple accounts inside the same app (tap your profile → Add Account), so once you've verified each account, you can manage all of them without signing out. We've seen customers run 10+ accounts this way for legitimate business and community use.
What happens if Telegram bans the account tied to my virtual number?
For single-use activations, the number is single-use anyway — you just lose that specific account. For rentals, if the ban was session-level you can re-verify; if it was number-level the SIM is done — contact support within 24 hours for a prorated refund. To avoid bans, follow the warm-up rules in our troubleshooting section above.
Will a Fragment NFT number work if I already own one?
Yes — Fragment numbers are built exactly for Telegram verification and they work fine. The difference is cost + flexibility. Fragment's cheapest floor is around $16–20, average $30–100, and premium/memorable ones run $150–$10,000+. VirtualSMS verification runs orders of magnitude cheaper. Fragment only makes sense if you specifically want a memorable NFT number as a vanity asset.
