    TL;DR

VirtualSMS provides Line Messenger verification via real Spain mobile numbers (+34 prefix) — physical carrier-issued SIM cards, not VoIP. Spain numbers from regional operators pass Line Messenger's network-detection checks where Google Voice, TextNow, and MySudo get rejected as disposable. Numbers activate in under 30 seconds. Pricing from $0.40 per activation, paid in USDT, USDC, BTC, LTC, or SOL via NOWPayments. If the Line Messenger code doesn't arrive within 20 minutes, your balance is refunded automatically. Alternative to hero-sms, 5sim, SMSPool, SMS-Man, OnlineSim for Spain Line Messenger verification — with real SIMs instead of shared VoIP pools.

    Which Spain carriers we run

Spain Line Messenger activations come from a mix of tier-1 mobile networks and the MVNOs that diaspora communities lean on for cheap international rates. The pool rotates with stock — right now you're likely to get a SIM from Movistar, Vodafone España, Orange España, Yoigo or one of the MVNO brands that ride those same networks: MásMóvil, Digi, Lowi, Pepephone, Simyo, O2 (Movistar), Llamaya. All real mobile-network SIMs, not VoIP. Line Messenger's anti-VoIP detection (the same check that rejects Google Voice and Twilio numbers) sees these as regular Spain mobile lines because that's what they are.

Five real reasons people verify LINE without their personal number

None of these are sketchy. They're the reasons we hear from customers every day.

    01

LINE is the dominant messaging app in Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan — a local number is required to access regional services

LINE ties its ecosystem to the country of registration. Japanese users get LINE Pay, LINE Manga, LINE Points, and LINE Shopping — none of which are available outside Japan. Registering with a JP number unlocks the full Japanese app experience. If you're working, studying, or doing business in Japan, Thailand, or Taiwan, LINE with a matching local number is not optional.

    02

Running a LINE Business account or LINE Official Account alongside a personal account requires a second number

LINE only allows one account per phone number. Agencies, freelancers, and small businesses handling LINE marketing for clients need separate numbers for each account — personal separate from professional. A virtual number avoids carrying a second SIM or a second handset.

    03

Travelling or relocating to Japan or Thailand without a local SIM

LINE is how locals communicate in these markets — it's the equivalent of WhatsApp in Europe. Before you land, connecting with local contacts, joining condo building groups, or coordinating with a Japanese employer all happens on LINE. A JP or TH virtual number lets you register before you arrive, without hunting for a local SIM at the airport.

    04

Your existing number got flagged after too many failed registration attempts

LINE rate-limits numbers that have seen repeated failed verifications. If you've been locked out, a fresh virtual number from a different country (or a fresh JP/TH number from a clean SIM range) typically clears in minutes rather than waiting 24 hours for the lockout to lift.

    05

Data-only SIMs and eSIMs can't receive LINE's SMS verification codes

Travel eSIMs and data-only plans — common in Japan and Thailand — have no inbound SMS capability. LINE's registration requires a real SMS code. A virtual number with genuine inbound SMS solves this in under a minute, before you've even boarded.

LINE-specific problems and how to fix them

LINE has distinct failure modes from WhatsApp or Telegram. Each problem below has a specific cause — don't just retry blindly.

"This phone number cannot be used" on registration

    Why it happens

LINE permanently blacklists numbers that were previously used for suspended or banned accounts, or numbers from SIM ranges LINE has flagged for mass registrations. VoIP ranges trigger this immediately — LINE checks number type at signup, before sending any OTP.

    The fix

Cancel the current number on VirtualSMS for a full refund. Get a fresh number from a different country or a different carrier tier. Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan Tier 1 numbers have the lowest prior-association rate in our fleet. Do not retry the same number.

Verification code never arrives within 2 minutes

    Why it happens

Either the specific SIM is temporarily rate-limited by LINE's SMS gateway, or carrier routing between LINE's SMS provider and the destination country is congested. This is not related to your LINE account.

    The fix

Cancel for a full refund. Try a different country — Japan (Docomo) and Thailand (AIS) currently have the best LINE SMS delivery speed in our fleet. Don't tap 'Resend code' more than once; each resend resets LINE's wait timer.

LINE asks for a passport or ID after phone verification

    Why it happens

LINE's risk system escalated your signup to an identity check — triggered by IP reputation (VPN or datacenter IP), device fingerprint mismatch, or creating multiple accounts in a short window. This is an account-level check, not a number-level check.

    The fix

This is unrelated to the phone number. Complete the ID check if you're willing, or restart with a residential IP, a clean device, and wait 24 hours before the next attempt.

    Account suspended immediately after registration

    Why it happens

LINE's post-signup heuristics flagged the account — common triggers: sending a large number of messages immediately, adding too many strangers as friends in the first hour, or the account being accessed from a flagged IP right after signup.

    The fix

New LINE accounts need a warm-up period. Set a profile photo and bio first. Add known contacts before strangers. Wait at least a day before joining groups or using LINE Pay. LINE's detection is behavior-based, not number-type based.

Cannot access LINE Pay or LINE regional services after registration

    Why it happens

LINE Pay and regional services (LINE Manga, LINE Points, LINE Shopping JP) are locked to accounts registered with a phone number from the matching country. If you registered with a non-JP number, the JP-only services won't appear regardless of your IP or app region.

    The fix

Register (or re-register) with a Japan (JP) number for LINE Pay JP, a Thailand (TH) number for LINE Pay TH, and a Taiwan (TW) number for LINE Pay TW. This is LINE's design — it's regional at registration, not at runtime.

LINE requires re-verification when logging in from a new device

    Why it happens

LINE's device-change flow requires the original phone number to receive an OTP. If you used a pay-per-activation number, it has been released and can't receive new codes.

    The fix

This is the most common reason to rent rather than activate-once for LINE accounts you'll use long-term. If you're currently locked out of a device switch with an activation number, contact VirtualSMS support within 24 hours — in some cases we can return the number for the re-verification window.

LINE code arrives but says it's already expired or invalid

    Why it happens

LINE's OTP is valid for a short window (around 5 minutes). If you requested multiple codes, only the most recent is valid — earlier ones are invalidated.

    The fix

Always use the MOST RECENT code in your VirtualSMS inbox. If you see multiple LINE codes, ignore all but the last one. If the latest also fails, the session may have timed out — cancel for a refund and restart the LINE registration flow.

Frequently asked questions about LINE virtual numbers

Does LINE detect and block virtual numbers?

LINE actively rejects VoIP numbers (Google Voice, TextNow, Twilio) and recycled number ranges that have been used for mass registrations. It does not systematically block real carrier-issued SIM numbers, which is what VirtualSMS provides. The detection is carrier-range and number-history based — a fresh real SIM from a clean carrier range in Japan, Thailand, or Taiwan passes LINE's check. Shared virtual numbers (free inboxes, VoIP services) fail because they're in LINE's flagged-range database.

Which country should I use to unlock LINE Pay?

Japan (JP) for LINE Pay Japan, Thailand (TH) for LINE Pay Thailand, Taiwan (TW) for LINE Pay Taiwan. LINE Pay is region-locked at account registration — not at runtime. You must register your LINE account with a number from the target country. A US or European number will not unlock LINE Pay in any region.

Can I use the same virtual number for multiple LINE accounts?

No. LINE binds one account to each phone number permanently. If a number has ever been associated with a LINE account — active, suspended, or deleted — LINE will not allow it to be used for a new registration. This is why we source fresh SIM batches: used or recycled numbers fail at the OTP-send step before you ever see a code.

Will I need the number again after LINE is set up?

Yes — possibly. LINE re-requests phone verification when you switch devices, log in from a new handset, or migrate to a new phone. If you used a pay-per-activation number, it's been released and can't receive those future codes. For any LINE account you'll use long-term or across multiple devices, rent the number instead of activating once.

What happens if LINE shows an 'identity verification required' screen?

This is an account-level check triggered by LINE's risk system — not by the virtual number itself. Common triggers are datacenter or VPN IPs, rapid account activity, or device fingerprints matching known mass-registration patterns. If this happens, complete the ID check if you can, or restart with a residential IP and a clean device.

Can a LINE virtual number receive calls from LINE?

LINE calls (voice and video) run entirely through LINE's own network and the internet — not through the carrier SMS number. Your LINE app can make and receive LINE calls normally regardless of the underlying SIM type. The virtual number is only needed to receive the initial SMS verification code.

How long does LINE verification take?

Under 3 minutes typically. Open LINE → Sign Up → enter number → SMS arrives within 30 seconds → enter code → done. If no SMS has arrived after 2 minutes, something is wrong with that specific SIM — cancel for a refund and try a different country. Japan and Thailand numbers currently have the best LINE delivery speed in our fleet.

Is using a virtual number for LINE legal?

In most countries, yes. LINE's terms prohibit automated mass account creation and spam — not virtual numbers used for individual account registration. Using one virtual number to register one LINE account is standard use. Check local regulations if you're in a jurisdiction with digital-identity laws that might apply.

What's the cheapest country for a LINE number?

Thailand, Indonesia, and Philippines are the most cost-effective options in Tier 1 and Tier 2. Japan numbers are slightly more expensive but unlock the full LINE JP ecosystem (LINE Pay, LINE Manga, LINE Points). Check the live pricing section — prices update in real time with available stock.

    How do I pay?

Crypto (BTC, USDT, ETH, LTC via NOWPayments) or credit/debit card. Minimum top-up $2. Unused balance stays in your account indefinitely — no expiry, no subscription, no monthly fees. You only pay when a verification succeeds — the charge is deducted when the SMS is delivered.
