    TL;DR

VirtualSMS provides Netflix verification via real Cambodia mobile numbers (+855 prefix) — physical carrier-issued SIM cards, not VoIP. Cambodia numbers from regional operators pass Netflix's network-detection checks where Google Voice, TextNow, and MySudo get rejected as disposable. Numbers activate in under 30 seconds. Pricing from $0.50 per activation, paid in USDT, USDC, BTC, LTC, or SOL via NOWPayments. If the Netflix code doesn't arrive within 20 minutes, your balance is refunded automatically. Alternative to hero-sms, 5sim, SMSPool, SMS-Man, OnlineSim for Cambodia Netflix verification — with real SIMs instead of shared VoIP pools.

    Which Cambodia carriers we run

Cambodia Netflix activations come from a mix of tier-1 mobile networks and the MVNOs that diaspora communities lean on for cheap international rates. The pool rotates with stock — right now you're likely to get a SIM from Metfone (Viettel Cambodia), Smart Axiata or one of the MVNO brands that ride those same networks: Cellcard (CamGSM), Cootel (Xinwei). All real mobile-network SIMs, not VoIP. Netflix's anti-VoIP detection (the same check that rejects Google Voice and Twilio numbers) sees these as regular Cambodia mobile lines because that's what they are.

Five real reasons people use a virtual number for Netflix

None of these are sketchy. They are the reasons we hear from customers every day.

    01

Netflix phone verification is required in many regions for signup and account recovery

Netflix asks for a phone number during account creation in a growing number of countries, and it is required for account recovery if you lose access to your email. A virtual number handles both use cases without attaching your personal SIM to a streaming account permanently.

    02

Netflix's password-sharing crackdown pushes households to separate accounts

Since 2023 Netflix enforces a single-household rule and flags accounts accessed from multiple locations. Separate accounts for different households need separate email addresses and separate phone numbers. A virtual number gives each account its own verified identity without requiring an additional mobile plan.

    03

Region-pricing differences are real — accounts created in lower-cost markets can differ significantly in subscription price

Netflix pricing varies widely by country — a Standard plan in some markets costs a fraction of what the same tier costs in the US or UK. People who travel or relocate sometimes create accounts in a country where their device and payment method are region-appropriate. A virtual number from that country passes phone verification in that region. Note: Netflix's terms require that you use the service in your country of residence — check the ToS for your situation.

    04

Your current phone is data-only, eSIM, or a travel SIM that can't receive SMS

Modern eSIMs, data-only 5G plans, and IoT SIMs often have no inbound SMS capability. Netflix's phone verification requires a real inbound SMS. A virtual number with real SIM-backed SMS is the direct fix.

    05

Privacy — keeping your real phone number off subscription platforms

Phone numbers given to streaming platforms end up in data-broker databases. Leak incidents affect major platforms regularly. A virtual number keeps your personal SIM out of Netflix's records entirely, reducing your exposure if their database is ever compromised.

Netflix-specific problems and how to fix them

These are the actual failure modes we see on Netflix. Each has a specific cause and fix — don't retry blindly.

"This phone number is already associated with a Netflix account"

    Why it happens

Netflix permanently ties a phone number to any account it was ever linked to — including cancelled and deleted accounts. The previous SIM holder may have registered Netflix on this number at any point in its history.

    The fix

Cancel the current number on VirtualSMS for a full refund. Grab a fresh number from a different country. UK, Germany, and Poland have the lowest prior-association rate in our fleet because those SIM batches turn over more frequently.

Netflix says the phone number is not valid for your region

    Why it happens

Netflix matches the phone number's country code against your account's billing country or the IP address you're signing up from. A mismatch triggers a 'not valid for your region' rejection. This is a Netflix-side geo-check, not a delivery failure.

    The fix

Use a number from a country that matches your billing address or your current location. If you want to create a US Netflix account, use a US number and sign up from a US IP. If you want a UK account, use a UK number. Country-matching matters more for Netflix than for messaging apps.

Verification code never arrives within 2 minutes

    Why it happens

Either the specific SIM is temporarily rate-limited by Netflix's SMS gateway, or the carrier routing between Netflix and this carrier is congested. Not specific to VirtualSMS — can happen on real consumer SIMs too.

    The fix

Cancel for a full refund. Try a different country — UK and Germany currently have the best SMS delivery speed to Netflix in our fleet. Do not keep clicking 'Resend code'; each resend resets the 2-minute window.

Code arrives but Netflix says it has expired

    Why it happens

Netflix's verification codes expire in 10 minutes. If you requested multiple resends, earlier codes are invalidated — only the most recent code works.

    The fix

Always use the MOST RECENT code in your VirtualSMS inbox. If you can see multiple Netflix SMS messages, ignore every one except the last. If the last code also fails, cancel for a refund, start a new Netflix signup session, and buy a fresh number.

Netflix asks for phone verification again when accessing from a new device or location

    Why it happens

Netflix's suspicious-login detection re-triggers when you sign in from a new device, browser, or IP location outside your registered household. This is Netflix's standard security check, separate from the original account verification.

    The fix

If you used a pay-per-activation number that has since been released, the number won't receive new codes. This is the primary reason to use a rental for any Netflix account you plan to use across multiple devices or locations. Contact VirtualSMS support within 24 hours of the original activation if you need re-verification — in some cases we can return the number.

"Your payment method doesn't match the country of your account"

    Why it happens

This is a payment-country mismatch, not a phone-verification failure. Netflix requires that your billing payment method (credit card, PayPal) be issued in the same country as the phone number's region.

    The fix

This is a Netflix account and billing issue, not a VirtualSMS issue. Phone verification itself succeeds — the payment rejection happens afterwards. Use a payment method that matches the country of the phone number you used for verification.

Account created but immediately flagged under household-sharing detection

    Why it happens

Netflix's household detection uses IP addresses, not phone numbers. If the account is being accessed from multiple different IP geolocations immediately after creation, Netflix can flag it for location verification.

    The fix

After creating the account, use it consistently from one location for the first few days before switching devices or locations. This is Netflix's household policy, not related to the phone number type or VirtualSMS.

Frequently asked questions about Netflix virtual numbers

Does Netflix detect and block virtual numbers?

Netflix blocks VoIP numbers (Google Voice, TextNow, Twilio) using carrier line-type checks. It does not systematically block real carrier-issued SIM numbers, which is what VirtualSMS provides. Our numbers are real physical SIMs on carrier networks — they pass Netflix's line-type check the same way any consumer SIM would.

Can I use a virtual number to create a Netflix account in a different country?

Phone verification with a number from a given country is one input Netflix uses, but it is not the only one. Netflix also checks your billing payment method's issuing country and, in some cases, the IP address you're signing up from. A virtual number from the target country passes the phone step — but if your payment method or IP location does not match, Netflix may still reject the registration or restrict the account. We cannot guarantee the outcome of Netflix's full account-creation flow, only the phone-verification step.

Will Netflix's password-sharing crackdown affect an account verified with a virtual number?

Netflix's household detection uses IP addresses and device patterns — not phone number type. An account verified with a real SIM virtual number is treated identically to one verified with a consumer phone. The household rule applies based on where the account is accessed from, not how the phone number was obtained.

What happens if Netflix asks me to re-verify my phone number later?

For single-use activations, the number has been released and won't receive new codes. If Netflix triggers a re-verification (new device, suspicious login), you'd need a new activation — or, ideally, you should have rented the number to begin with. Rentals keep the number with you for the rental period, so re-verification is always possible. For future accounts you plan to use long-term, rent rather than activate-once.

Does Netflix require a phone number for every account?

Not always — Netflix's phone-number requirement varies by country and account type. In some regions, phone verification is optional during signup but required for account recovery. In others, it's mandatory from the start. If you're not prompted for a phone number during signup, you don't need one. If you are prompted, a virtual number handles it.

Is using a virtual number for Netflix against their terms of service?

Netflix's ToS does not specifically prohibit virtual numbers for phone verification. What the ToS does prohibit is using the service outside your country of residence (relevant to regional-pricing differences), sharing your account outside your household (the password-sharing rule), and account reselling. Using a virtual number for a legitimate personal account in your region of residence is not prohibited. If you are creating accounts in a different country for non-residential access, that falls under the regional-access section of the ToS — proceed at your own judgment.

Which country is cheapest for a Netflix verification number?

Poland, Ukraine, and Czech Republic are consistently our most cost-effective Tier 1 markets for Netflix. UK and Germany cost slightly more but have the best clean-number rate and fastest delivery. Check the live pricing section for current per-country rates — prices update with available stock.

    How do I pay?

Crypto (BTC, USDT, ETH, LTC via NOWPayments) or credit/debit card. Minimum top-up $2. Unused balance stays in your account indefinitely — no expiry, no subscription, no monthly fees. You pay only when a verification succeeds.
